The Department of Civil Engineering was started in the academic year 2009-10 with an intake of 60 under Atria Institute of Technology. The institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. The department has well qualified & experienced faculty with M.Tech&Ph.D degrees.The department has developed strong links with the building and construction industry and academic bodies. The departments main objective is to build a strong, stable and deep concept in various aspects of civil engineering among students and there by bringing the futures of tomorrow. The Department of Civil Engineering provides high quality education and discipline. The faculty makes it possible to give individual attention to the learners and to motivate them to achieve their professional goals. The department laboratories are well equipped as per requirements of the curriculum.

Surveying Lab: The knowledge of surveying is advantageous in many phases of civil engineering. The lab is equipped with various instruments so as to give training in Chain, Compass, Plane Table Surveying, Levelling, Traversing and Tacheometry. |

Material testing Lab: The main objective of the Material testing lab is to create general awareness among students about the various properties of building materials like cement, bricks, aggregate, timber and also the properties and strength aspects of concrete and metal. The lab is equipped with the following equipment’s: Compressive Testing Machine, Universal Testing Machine, Torsion Testing Machine, Hardness Testing Machine, Spring testing machine, Impact Testing Machine, Aggregate Crushing Value Testing Machine etc. |

Computer Aided Design lab: The Departmental Computing Facility supports computing and programming requirements of the students with Hardware and Software maintenance in the department. LAN connectivity is also provided. It is housed with well furnished hall that accommodates 60 nosPersonal Computers |
