Post Graduate Department of Management Studies, Atria Institute of Technology, started in 2004-2005 is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum with intake of 60 students per year. MBA consists of 4 semesters spread over 2 years. Over the years, it has emerged as a centre of excellence in management education evidenced by not only laurels of achievements in extra-curricular activities, but also rising graph of examination results. |

The vision of the department is to create a center of excellence by encouraging spirit of enquiry, promote creativity, innovation and experimentation among the students. The department constantly grooms the students for achieving excellence at work place in corporate world. |

The department has well furnished spacious classrooms equipped with modern audio-visual facilities and exclusive seminar hall with seating capacity of 150 people in the first floor of MBA Building. The spacious college library with more than 2200 MBA books and 21 management journals is in the ground floor of the same building. Besides there is a seperate departmental library with more than 250 books.

Achievements |
The results of examination conducted by VTU are comparable to best institutes in Bangalore. The first three batches of MBA graduates are all well placed in premier organizations like, Wipro, GE, JP Morgan, Earnst & Young, Bridgestone, TATA Sky, etc.
The department is conducting industrial visits, workshops and seminars by eminent personalities to the benefit of students and Faculty members. Group discussion, business quiz, mock interviews are regularly held to improve soft skills of students. Every student gives presentations on summer project as per roaster.
The students of MBA brought laurels to the college by winning several intercollegiate competitions. MBA students won the OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP in "ABHIGYANAM-09", a three day Management Festival conducted by Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum during 20th - 22nd, April 2009. The students emerged as the undisputable winners of Abhigyanam by virtue of the following results of the events :
- 1st place in the events of Adventure, Marketing and Quiz
- 2nd place in events of Ice-Breaker and Finance
- 3rd place in the event of Human Resource
Besides in 2008 they were 1st & runner-up in Business quiz at Acharya Institute of Technology, 1st in Sudoku at CMRIT, 2nd runner-up in HR event. This feather in the cap of Atria Insitute of Technology is a pre-cursor to the many laurels that will be won by Atrians in future. |

The department regularly conducts workshops, seminars, guest lectures by inviting eminent personalities both from industries and academic institutions. Regular industrial visits and educational tours are conducted for the benefit of students and faculty.

- "Effects of Subprime Crisis" by Mr. MK Anand Kumar, ED, Bangalore Stock Exchange on 31-10-08

- "Enhancing personal effectiveness in contemporary scenario" by Dr. MS Moodithaya on 13-03-09
