Department of Computer Science & Engg is organising a National Conference on Emerging Technologies in Computer Science - 2010 from 26th to 28th of Oct 2010. Topics include, but are not limited to Mathematical Technique in Computer Science, Image processing & biometrics, Data mining and knowledge discovery, Parallel & Distributed computing, Cloud computing and Computer Networking - Sensor networks.

Admissions for the year 2010 is open and classes for first year is tentatively scheduled to start from September 2010.

ISE department conducted a National Conference on Knowledge Science & Information Retrieval during 9th and 10th of Oct 2009. The key areas related to Knowledge based engineering, Web based IR and Image and Video retrieval will be discussed and papers will be presented by technical experts.

ECE department conducted a National Workshop on Recent Trends in Communication Technologies on 14th Feb 2009. The conference was attended by faculties from different Institutes and by Defence services. The high light of the programme was a vivid description of the lunar satellite launch recently carried out by ISRO. There were other lectures pertaining to Mobile data networks, Software defined Radio and Microwave communication. The keynote address was delivered by Dr.M.H.Kori Technical director, Alcatel and Lucent Technologies.

CSE department conducted a Faculty development programme on Embedded Computing Systems during 27th to 29th July 2009 sponsored by VTU,Texas Instruments, Gill Instruments and Tektronix.

CSE department conducted a Faculty development programme on Cluster Computing during 6th to 10th August 2007 sponsored by leading firms AMD, Microsoft, ACER, C-DAC and Digital Waves.

AICTE has approved 60 additional seats in Mechanical Engineering branch (Total 120) and a new PG Course of M.Tech (Computer Science Engineering) with 18 seats.
